One Arrested with 7 Foreign Pistols and 2.1 kg Heroin in Amritsar

Punjab Police is achieving major successes in its drug-free campaign these days. Amritsar Police recently achieved success. Speaking to the media, Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that as part of the Punjab government’s war against drugs and gangsters, the police have busted a major criminal module. During this operation, the police seized 7 ultra-modern foreign pistols and 2 kg 100 grams of heroin.

A 26-year-old youth named Khush Kumar alias Bholu has been arrested in this case. Bholu is a resident of Guru Wali Gate area of ​​Amritsar and used to run a clothing shop.

The police said that Bholu has been involved in several criminal cases in the past. Previously, a case was registered against him under the NDPS Act in 2018, and he was later released on bail. Bhollu also faces charges of snatching and the Arms Act.

In addition, in 2020, a pistol and cartridges were recovered from Bhollu in Kharar, Mohali. Police stated that Bhollu had been secretly involved in criminal activities for many years and operated smuggling under the guise of his shop.

Police stated that the weapons recovered were highly dangerous and modern. These included Turkish-made Gladiator pistols, Italian Berettas, and weapons made in Austria and China. All these weapons were ordered for the gangster network. Police stated that if these weapons had reached criminal gangs, they could have posed a significant threat to the security of Amritsar and surrounding areas.
