Hoshiarpur Police Arrested 4 People with 9.9 Kg Heroin and Foreign Pistols

The Punjab Police’s campaign against drugs and crime is leading to significant success. Punjab Police launched a campaign to eradicate drug abuse, which has led to the seizure of large quantities of weapons and other narcotics. As part of this campaign, Punjab Police recently recovered 9.925 kg of heroin and some weapons in Hoshiarpur.

Recently, Punjab Police cracked down on an interstate and international drug and arms module and arrested four criminals, who were found in possession of 9.925 kg of heroin, two foreign-made pistols, eight magazines, and 40 live cartridges. These accused were acting as local handlers for gangsters based abroad.

These four accused were actively involved in drug trafficking and illegal arms supply. An FIR has been registered against all four accused at the Garhshankar police station. The police are still investigating.

This is the biggest success of the police operation. Until now, they had arrested only a few criminals with drugs and weapons, but this time they recovered a larger quantity of weapons and other narcotics.

SSP Hoshiarpur Sandeep Kumar Malik said that under the “zero-tolerance” policy, strict action is being taken against cross-border smuggling rackets, especially those linked to Pakistan.
