Recently, news of a tragic incident has come to light in which Mahendra Sharma, a resident of Jalandhar, died in a road accident in Sangrur district. Mahendra Sharma was going to Ludhiana to attend his sister’s funeral and died in the accident. Due to one death after another in the family, a mountain of grief has fallen on the family members.
Mahendra Sharma was going to Ludhiana with his brother in a rented car on Saturday afternoon. On reaching Sangrur bypass, his car was hit by a speeding Thar coming from the front, due to which this accident happened.
The collision between the two cars was so strong and horrific that the car was badly damaged and the people sitting in the car were injured. Locals rushed the injured to Sangrur Civil Hospital. Doctors declared Mahendra Sharma dead. Two other people were with Sharma, whose condition is said to be critical. Both the injured are undergoing treatment.

Upon receiving information about the accident, the police arrived at the scene and began investigating. The investigation revealed that the accident was caused by speeding and negligence. Locals have appealed to the police to implement adequate road safety measures to prevent such accidents in the future.
