Shocking news has recently emerged from Fatehgarh Sahib, where a female doctor living in a government quarter at the Civil Hospital has committed suicide by hanging herself.
The deceased doctor has been identified as Dr. Riya, a 30-year-old resident of Bathinda. Riya was unmarried and had been posted at the Civil Hospital, Fatehgarh Sahib, for the past one and a half months.

The incident was reported to the police. Fatehgarh Sahib Police Station Chief Ashok Kumar confirmed the news, stating that Dr. Riya hanged herself in her government residence.
The police stated that no suicide note was found during the search. Therefore, the reason for the suicide is still unknown. The doctor’s body has been placed in the mortuary at Civil Hospital, Fatehgarh Sahib.
The doctor’s family, who lives in Bathinda, has been informed of the incident. Further action will be taken only after the family’s statement and the postmortem report.
