Counter Intelligence Recovered 12 KG Heroin in Amritsar, 3 Arrested

Counter Intelligence Amritsar recently achieved a major success in the ongoing drug de-addiction campaign in Punjab. Police recently busted a drug smuggling racket near the toll plaza on Chabal Road in Amritsar, arresting three individuals and seizing 12 kg of heroin.

Investigation revealed that the arrested accused were in contact with a smuggler based in Pakistan. This gang was supplying drugs to India on instructions received from abroad.

Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav stated that this network is linked to a major international drug syndicate operating across the border. An FIR has been registered in this case under the NDPS Act at the SSOC police station in Amritsar.

The police are conducting a swift investigation to dismantle this entire network. They are working hard to identify all the accomplices and links associated with this gang.

The police are taking this action to make Punjab drug-free. The state police are continuously working under a strict strategy to dismantle such networks. The police have also put security agencies on high alert to prevent drug smuggling across the border.
