Fatehgarh Sahib Tragedy: Pilgrims’ Bus Overturns, 6 Dead

Recently, news of a tragic incident has come to light in Fatehgarh Sahib. It is being told that a bus full of devotees overturned, in which 6 devotees died and about 25 devotees were injured. The injured devotees have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. According to the information, there were 35 to 40 people on board the bus. The bus was carrying devotees from Main Majri village.

This accident happened when all the devotees were returning after visiting Anandpur Sahib. This accident happened near Bassi Pathana while returning. As soon as the information about the accident was received, the local police reached the spot and rescue work was started.

Pilgrims’ Bus Overturns, 6 Dead

A local resident present at the scene after the accident reported hearing a very loud noise from a distance. The loud noise caused more villagers to gather. Police were alerted immediately. Another person present at the scene stated that the accident was horrific and only one ambulance arrived after the call. The remaining injured passengers were taken to the hospital in private vehicles.

A woman injured in the accident reported that a tire suddenly broke, causing the bus to tilt to one side. The bus then hit a pole, and the bus experienced a jolt like an electric shock.

SSP Shubham Aggarwal, describing the incident, said that the accident occurred between 9:30 and 10:00 pm. Due to a fault in an internal component, the bus suddenly lost its balance, resulting in the accident. Upon receiving the information, a police team arrived at the scene, and approximately 15 injured were taken to Morinda Hospital and approximately nine were taken to Fatehgarh Hospital for treatment.
