Travel Agency Targeted in Jalandhar, ₹1 Lakh Looted by Robbers

Recently, shocking news is coming from Ludhiana, in which robbers carried out a major robbery in broad daylight at a tour and travel shop located in Harnamdaspura area. 3 robbers looted cash worth approximately Rs 1 lakh 8 thousand from the ‘West End Western Union Tour and Travel’ shop and fled from there. The entire incident was recorded in the CCTV installed in the shop.

According to the shop owner, 3 boys had come to the shop in the evening, out of which only one came inside the shop and the other 2 of his companions were standing outside. The robber who had come inside started asking the girl working in the shop about the tickets so that he could divert the girl’s attention. The robber, upon receiving the opportunity, attacked the girl, took the cash from the safe, and fled with his accomplices.

Upon receiving information about the robbery, the head of Police Station No. 2 and ACP Ajay Singh arrived at the scene with his team. ACP Ajay Singh stated that the police received information about the incident at 6:22 p.m. Investigation revealed that two men had come to the shop around 3:30 p.m. the previous afternoon. They had their faces covered at that time and had left the scene shortly after.

A few hours later, the boys returned and began talking about tickets. Just as they realized the girl was alone, a boy crept in from behind the counter, took cash from the safe, and fled.

The victim shop owner provided the police with all the information. Police say they have obtained CCTV footage, which clearly shows the robbers’ faces and actions. They will soon be identified and arrested.
