A shocking case has recently come to light in Ludhiana, in which a minor girl was r@ped by a young man living in her colony under the pretext of marriage. When the minor girl became pregnant, he refused to marry her. The minor girl gave birth to two children, but the accused flatly refused to marry her.
The police were informed of this. The minor girl told the police that her mother had been discussing her marriage with Jeevanjot Singh. The victim and her family had been living in the same society for the past year. The minor girl was friends with Jeevanjot Singh’s younger brother, Gaganjot Singh.

In June 2025, at around 10:30 pm, Gaganjot Singh came to her house and r@ped her under the pretext of marriage. She became pregnant and gave birth to a child on May 4, 2026.
On May 7, the Sarabha Nagar police station registered a case against the accused under Section 6 of the POCSO Act, 2012, and Sections 65(1) and 64(2)(M) of the Indian Penal Code. The minor girl alleged that the accused was now refusing to marry her. Based on her complaint, the police have registered a case against Gaganjot Singh and are conducting raids to arrest him.
