Recently, shocking news emerged: the body of a Punjab Excise Department inspector was found in a car parked on the side of the highway on the Amritsar-Jamnagar Bharatmala Road near Dabwali in Haryana’s Sirsa district.
When the car remained unmoved for a long time, bystanders approached the car and found the inspector trapped between the two front seats, his seat belt strapped to his stomach. A service pistol was found near him.
The Dabwali police were informed of the incident. Based on the mobile number and ID cards found on the body, the police informed the family. The family expressed suspicion about the inspector’s death and stated that they were unsure how he had ended up 200 kilometers from his place of posting.
The police have sent the body for a postmortem. They have also seized the inspector’s pistol and launched an investigation. His call details are being used to determine how he reached Haryana. Information is also being gathered from other departments.

The inspector’s name is being given as Karamjeet. The family has expressed doubts about Karamjeet’s visit to Dabwali. The family stated that the distance between Moga and Dabwali is approximately 200 km, so it was impossible for him to travel alone, and no one informed them about this.
The family stated that the inspector has two young sons. The family is in deep grief after the inspector’s death.
