Recently, another shooting incident occurred in Jalandhar. Two parties were discussing a dispute over a shop in the Maksudan vegetable market. During the altercation, a man from one side opened fire. As soon as the gunfire erupted, people began fleeing. CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced, clearly showing the firing in the presence of police. Two people were injured in the firing.
The Jalandhar Police Commissioner issued a statement stating that the shooting occurred due to a dispute between two parties over a shop. Police have registered a case, and both injured have been admitted to a private hospital for treatment. It is being reported that both the injured are associated with a political party and are BJP workers.

Former MP and BJP leader Sushil Kumar Rinku stated that he has no information about this matter, but believes that a scuffle broke out in the vegetable market, resulting in two injuries. He added that he had only gone to the hospital to inquire about the well-being of one of the injured. Police have the jurisdiction to resolve such disputes.
