Recently, shocking news has come from Ludhiana, in which after a domestic quarrel, a father first shot his son and later committed suicide by consuming poison. This incident took place in New Agar Nagar in Ludhiana, where on Sunday late night, retired army man Surinder Singh killed his son Gursharan Singh with his licensed gun and then consumed poison himself after a few minutes, after which he also died.
The reason behind the incident is being told as second marriage. Father Surinder Singh was having an affair with a woman and he wanted to do a second marriage. Surinder Singh’s son Gursharan Singh was against his father’s second marriage. The two had previously quarreled over this issue, but on Sunday night, the argument escalated to the point of bloodshed.

Five years have passed since the death of Surinder Singh’s first wife. Surinder Singh has three children from his first marriage: two daughters, Pushpinder Kaur and Harpreet Kaur, and a son, Gursharan Singh. Both daughters live abroad, one in Canada and the other in England.
People nearby revealed that Surinder Singh retired from the army several years ago. Afterward, he worked as a guard at a private bank, and that’s when he began an affair with someone else, and he wanted to marry her. But his son was against this, and there had been a dispute between the two for quite some time.
A relative of Surinder Singh told that both father and son were alone at home on Sunday and an argument broke out between them. The father got angry and attacked the son with his licensed gun. The first bullet hit the son’s hand, and the son ran out of the house onto the road to save himself, and then the father also ran after him.

After reaching a short distance, Surinder Singh fired another shot at his son, Gursharan Singh, after which he fell down injured. The father then fired more shots at the son, killing him on the spot.
The father then went home and consumed some poisonous substance. The police were informed of the incident. Both were taken to the hospital, where the son was declared dead, and the father died during treatment.
