In Kapurthala, a Woman Committed Suicide by Jumping into Kali Bein along with 2 Children

Recently, a tragic news has come to light from Kapurthala, in which a mother along with her two sons tried to commit suicide by jumping into Kali Bein in Sultanpur Lodhi. The mother survived but both the children drowned. Upon receiving information about the incident, Sultanpur Lodhi police reached the spot and took the bodies of the children into custody and started investigation.

It is being told that Simran Kaur, wife of Bharpur Singh, a resident of village Adalat Chak, had a fight with her husband, due to which she took this step after getting stressed.

On Wednesday morning, she went to Kali Bein with her six-year-old son Veer Pratap Singh and three-year-old Gur Pratap Singh and jumped into it. People nearby said that she had brought a child from school.

Seeing Tino drowning, people present there immediately showed courage and pulled the woman out of the water. People tried to save both the children as well, but they died by drowning in the canal.

Investigating officer of Sultanpur Lodhi police station, ASI Baldev Singh said that the bodies of both the children have been taken into custody and kept in the mortuary of the civil hospital. The police is now questioning the mother and investigating the reasons for her jumping into the canal.
