Recently a sad incident has come to light, in which a 12 year old innocent child died on the spot in a road accident near Pathankot Chowk in Jalandhar. This accident happened right in front of Ranveer Classic Palace located at Pathankot Chowk. The deceased 12 year old boy was identified as Vansh, a resident of Nawanshahr. Police reached the spot and took the truck driver into custody.
Actually, 12 year old Vansh was returning to his home in Nawanshahr with his mother on a scooty after attending a relative’s program in Kartarpur. As soon as they reached in front of Ranveer Classic Palace near Pathankot Chowk, their scooty was hit by a speeding truck. The collision was so horrific that Vansh died on the spot.
But eyewitness Rahul, who was present there, told that both the truck and the scooter riders were going from Pathankot Chowk to PAP Chowk. Suddenly the scooter lost its balance and came directly under the tyres of the truck. In this accident, the child died on the spot. But his mother survived. The mother is in deep shock due to the death of the child in the accident.

SHO Sehat Chaudhary of Police Station 8 said that as soon as the information was received from the control room, the police reached the accident spot. The police took the truck into custody and arrested the driver. Police said the child’s body has been sent for a postmortem examination. Further legal action will be taken based on the family’s statements.
