Amritsar Police Bust Arms Smuggling Racket, 3 Arrested with 6 Pistols

Recently, the Amritsar police achieved another major success. The Amritsar police recently uncovered a weapons module sent via drone from Pakistan. Police arrested three accused, who were found in possession of six weapons.

Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar told the media that this entire operation was part of a campaign being carried out on the instructions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. He stated that weapons were sent via drone from Pakistan and delivery orders were given to people via WhatsApp.

The arrested accused have been identified as Mangal Singh Manga (30 years old), Pranav Sharma alias Laddu (24 years old), and Gaurav Rana (25 years old). Police say that two of them already have cases registered against them. Some serious cases are registered against Gaurav Rana. Police investigation revealed that the accused, lured by money, would pick up weapons dropped from drones and supply them to gangsters or terror modules.

This entire network is being run by handlers based abroad. The Commissioner stated that other links are also emerging in this case. Police are also investigating the financial trail and will soon succeed in apprehending more people in the network.
