Recently, a daughter-in-law and her father-in-law were arrested for drug dealing in Khuian Sarwar of Abohar. Actually, the police was on patrolling and during that a woman and her father-in-law were caught with 20 grams of heroin, after which they were arrested. A case has been registered against the daughter-in-law and father-in-law under the NDPS Act. The police team under the leadership of lady constable Rajpal Kaur was patrolling near village Tootwala on the night of 16 April, at that time both were caught.
During the police patrolling, a woman and a man riding a bike were stopped on suspicion. They were searched and 20 grams of heroin was found with them. The two accused have been identified as Joginder Singh, son of Harnam Singh, and Sukhwinder Kaur, wife of Surendra. Both are residents of Tootwala village. After arresting the two accused, the police have registered a case against them under sections 21, 61, and 85 of the NDPS Act.
DSP Sukhwinder Singh said that the arrested daughter-in-law and father-in-law will be produced in court and taken on police remand. The police will interrogate them about where they procured the heroin and where they were going to supply it.
The police informed that the woman’s husband is dead and she is the mother of two children. The father-in-law told that his son had died 3 years ago and he was taking care of his 2 children and family with his hard work.

The father-in-law told that someone had cheated and misled his daughter-in-law by calling her. The daughter-in-law did not know that she was selling white. When the father-in-law was working in the fields yesterday, his daughter-in-law called and asked him to come home. When he was taking his daughter-in-law with him, he did not know that his daughter-in-law had white. But the police have arrested him and a case has been registered. Although he had nothing to do with drugs.
