Punjabi Student Dies in Road Accident in Australia, Family Cries in Distress

Recently, a sad news has come to light in which 19-year-old student Komalpreet Kaur, a resident of Ludhiana district, died in a road accident in Perth, Australia. Komalpreet was studying nursing in Perth, Australia, and also doing a part-time job.

Late night on May 16, while she was returning home from work, a speeding car hit her and she died. When this news reached Komalpreet’s family, there was an uproar in their house.

According to information, 19-year-old Komalpreet was returning home after finishing her night duty late Saturday night. At that time, a speeding car hit her in the Canningvale area. The impact of the collision was so severe that Komalpreet died on the spot.

The accident occurred around 11:30 a.m., and Komalpreet was struck by a blue Hyundai i30 hatchback in the Bentley Plaza car park on Albany Highway, near John Street. Police said she suffered serious injuries in the accident and was taken by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital, where she later died.

The family said Komalpreet had studied nursing at the prestigious Stanley College in Perth, Australia, last year. She also worked part-time to support her studies and living expenses.

Komalpreet was a resident of Kalsian village near Raikot/Halwara in Punjab’s Ludhiana district. Komal’s father, Amrik Singh, is a retired Subedar from the Indian Army. The family is in deep shock after hearing the news of their daughter’s death.
