Recently, shocking news has come to light. Gurpreet Singh, a former army constable from Amritsar, Punjab, spread terror in Chandauli and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. Gurpreet Singh had killed three innocent people in just 26 hours and was killed in a police encounter late on Monday (May 11).
Gurpreet was a psycho killer who shot three people in the head without any clear motive or personal enmity. He committed the third murder in a private hospital in Chandauli on the morning of May 11, after which Gurpreet was caught by the mob and handed over to the police.

Chandauli Superintendent of Police (SP) Akash Patel said that late Monday night the police team took the accused to the place where he had made the allegations. The police were preparing to recreate the crime scene to gather evidence.
That’s when Gurpreet tried to play a trick. He snatched a policeman’s service pistol and fled, taking advantage of the darkness, while firing at the police team. During this, the police asked him to surrender, but he continued firing.
After this, he was hit by two police bullets in the retaliatory firing. Gurpreet was seriously injured and was immediately taken to the district hospital, where he died during treatment.
