2 Youths Arrested in Shambhu Rail Blast Case, Mother Claims Son was Taken by Force

A few days ago, a bomb blast occurred on the Shambhu-Ambala railway track in Patiala. Recently, Patiala police arrested two youths from Mansa district in connection with the bomb blast. The two boys have been identified as Pradeep Singh Khalsa, a resident of Mansa, and Kulwinder Singh, a resident of Bappiana.

The police informed that some cases have been registered against Pradeep Singh earlier. However, Pradeep Singh’s mother, Manjeet Kaur, declared her son innocent and leveled serious allegations against the police action.

Manjeet Kaur informed that the police came to their house around 9 am and forcibly took Pradeep away. Pradeep’s mother stated that the police did not allow her son to drink even water or tea and took him away without any clear reason.

Manjeet Kaur stated that her son, Pradeep Singh, is religious and worked as the head priest at a Gurudwara. Pradeep had been at home for the past few days. If Pradeep had been involved in any criminal activities, he would not have been there.

Manjeet Kaur also alleged that the police destroyed CCTV cameras installed by neighbors.

Pradeep’s neighbor, Hardayal Singh, also questioned the police action and said that Pradeep had no involvement in any such incident. Hardayal Singh alleged that the police were misleading innocent youth by filing false cases against them. The police is investigating the matter and further action is underway.
