A recent incident of assault and robbery has come to light from Ludhiana. It is being reported that a student was attacked and his gold chain was stolen while on his way to tuition. Police from Daresi police station have registered a case against six people for assaulting a young man, robbing him of his gold chain, and threatening to kill him. Police are conducting raids to apprehend the accused.
The student stated that he was a resident of Noorwala Road and was returning home from tuition as usual on April 23, 2026. As he descended the stairs and reached the road, Tarun Singh, Rudra, and three other young men, standing approximately 10 steps away, surrounded him.
The victim student stated that a girl named Shivangi, who was taking tuition with him, pointed at the accused and said, “Catch him, don’t let him go.” After this, the accused attacked and brutally beat him.

During the attack and assault, the accused also snatched the gold chain from his neck. As they left, they threatened to kill him and fled.
The victim student stated that the accused suspected that he was talking to Shivangi, and that is why he attacked him. The Daresi police station has registered a case against the accused, Rudra, Tarun Singh, and three unidentified youths under sections 115(2), 191(3), 126(2), and 190 of the Indian Penal Code. Police said the accused will be arrested soon. Raids are being conducted to search for the accused.
