Late night on March 31st, unknown individuals opened fire in Sialka village, in the Majitha assembly constituency of Amritsar. The accused can be seen firing on CCTV. Akali leader Bikram Majithia shared this CCTV footage on his social media page. The sound of the gunfire is clearly audible in the video.
According to information, 9-10 shots were fired. Bullet marks were found on the main gate outside the house. Family members found bullet holes outside the house. No one was injured in the attack, but an atmosphere of fear has prevailed in the area.
A family member, Rashpal Singh, stated that they have no feud or enmity with anyone. The family has been terrified since the shooting. The family has appealed to the police to quickly apprehend the culprits and punish them severely.

Upon receiving news of the shooting, Majitha Police Station SHO Avtar Singh arrived in Sialka village with his team. After investigating the matter, they obtained CCTV footage. Following this, the police stated that the culprits would be identified and arrested soon.
