Recently, the Punjab-Haryana Court received another bomb threat. Before this, on April 1, a crude bomb exploded outside the Punjab BJP office in Sector 37, Chandigarh. This bomb exploded at around 5:15 pm. Due to the explosion, vehicles parked outside the office were damaged. After throwing the bomb, the attackers fled from there.
After the blast outside the Punjab BJP headquarters, on April 2, the Punjab-Haryana High Court received a bomb threat. This threat was given to the Chandigarh Police through an email. As soon as the threat was received, the police searched the entire complex. The police conducted a search operation throughout the court complex but found no suspicious object or bomb. This is the fourth time the High Court has received a bomb threat.

The police received this threat via email on April 2nd at around 12:30 pm. It was lunchtime, so not much work was going on in the court. Immediately after receiving the threat, a police team arrived at the court. Prior to this, three threats had been sent to the High Court Registrar’s official email address. This time, the threat was received by the police headquarters.
As usual, security agencies conducted a thorough search but found nothing in the court. Security has been increased following the bomb threat. No one is allowed inside the High Court without a thorough investigation.
