One kilometer from Fatehgarh Churian police station in Gurdaspur district, two miscreants robbed Aam Admi Party block president Kamaljeet Kaur of 20,000 cash and a gold ring. Kamaljeet Kaur’s husband Hurnaam Singh, a resident of Thariwal, was on his way to Ramdas Navodaya School with his younger daughter and her husband to see his elder daughter’s results.
Just before reaching the school, two robbers with their faces covered came on a bike and stopped them. The thieves showed Kamaljeet and her husband a gun and made off with 20,000 cash and a gold ring.
Kamaljeet Kaur and her husband suspected that the gun was fake. At that very moment, the couple attacked the lutero and seized the gun. During the scuffle, one of the thieves’ clothes were torn and he was beaten badly. However, the lutero managed to escape. The other person riding the bike was waiting with the bike ahead. As soon as the other lutero escaped the couple’s clutches, both of them got on the bike and fled.

During the scuffle, the lutero attacked Kamaljeet’s husband on the head with the fake gun, injuring him. Kamaljeet and her husband reached the police station and filed a report. Kamaljeet Kaur and her husband handed over the fake gun to the police and demanded immediate arrest of the thieves and strict punishment.
