The people issuing the threats say that if the money is not given, the consequences will be dire. In a press conference held in Mohali on March 24, Roop Sohana said that she had recently joined the BJP, after which the series of threats to her had increased.
To escape the threats, she switched off her phone, but calls started coming to the numbers of her councilor friend and wife. The people issuing the threats said that if the money is not given, the same will be done to her as was done to Rana Balachauria and Chinese Kubaheri.

Roopa Sohana said that a letter was written to SSP Mohali by the Special DGP Security, Punjab, requesting security until March 31st. Following this, she was provided with a security guard. However, the guard was removed about 10 days before the scheduled time, further increasing her tension.
Roopa Sohana said that he is a common man and, in addition to dealing in property, also promotes kabaddi. Roopa has appealed to the district police several times, but her pleas have been ignored. This matter has created an atmosphere of fear in Roopa Sohana’s family.
