Recently, shocking news has come to light from Mohali, in which a minor daughter, blinded by love, took her father to a deserted area and, along with her lover, slit his throat and killed him. The police have solved the case and arrested the accused daughter and her lover.
The deceased’s wife, Rajwant Kaur, a resident of Khanpur village, told the police that her 17-year-old daughter was in a love affair with Vikas Shah, a resident of Dau Majra village. Her daughter was pressuring the family for marriage, but her father, Gursevak Singh, was against this relationship because she was a minor. This led to frequent conflicts within the family.
Rajwant Kaur said that her daughter had even threatened to harm the family. Rajwant Kaur had been staying at her brother’s house for a few days. When she returned on May 2nd, her husband was missing.

Rajwant Kaur searched for her husband and, after failing to find him, filed a complaint, stating that her daughter was threatening to kill her by threatening to force her into a love marriage.
Police have arrested the daughter and her lover. Investigations revealed the incident occurred on May 1st. “The daughter took her father, Gursevak Singh, out of the house on the pretext of a stomach ache. Upon reaching the hospital, she called her boyfriend. Then, they spoke to Gursevak Singh, forced him into the car, and drove him to a deserted area near the Morinda Canal.”
Gursevak was murdered by his daughter and her lover by slitting his throat with a sharp blade in a deserted area. The body was thrown into the canal to destroy the evidence. During interrogation by the police, both the accused confessed to the murder.

The minor girl has been sent to juvenile jail, while the accused youth is on police remand. SHO Amarinder Singh has said that the investigation is ongoing. It is being ascertained whether anyone else was involved in this murder. The search for the body in the canal is ongoing.
