Haryana Civil Secretariat Employee Commits Suicide by Jumping from 8th Floor

Recently, news of a suicide has emerged from Chandigarh. It is being reported that an employee committed suicide by jumping from the 8th floor of the Haryana Civil Secretariat.

Upon receiving information about the incident, police and other staff deployed at the Secretariat arrived at the scene. An ambulance was immediately called. A team of doctors examined the man on the spot, but by then the employee had already died.

The deceased employee has been identified as Balwant Singh, a resident of Panchkula. Balwant Singh worked for the Power Corporation. On Monday morning, he had obtained a visitor’s pass at the Secretariat and was going to meet the Controller of Accounts of the Haryana Power Generation Corporation.

Balwant Singh’s visitor’s pass, which was issued at 9:42 am. The pass states that he had obtained a visitor pass to meet the Controller of Accounts of the Haryana Power Generation Corporation on the fifth floor for official work. He entered the Secretariat at 10:22 a.m.

The police are investigating and trying to determine the reason for the suicide.
