Drug and Arms Racket Busted in Amritsar – 2 with Links to Pakistan Arrested!

Recently, the Amritsar police achieved a major success in the drug war. The Amritsar police busted a module involved in cross-border drug and arms smuggling. Two accused were arrested in this operation. 4.108 kg of heroin, four modern pistols, and five live cartridges were recovered from the accused. The weapons included two Austrian-made 9 mm Glock pistols and two Chinese-made .30 bore pistols.

Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav announced this breakthrough. The arrested accused have been identified as Arshdeep Singh alias Arsh (21) and Tarsem Singh alias Karan alias Pehlwan (31). Both are residents of Tarn Taran.

Announcing the major breakthrough, Amritsar Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar stated that the first accused, Arshdeep Singh, was arrested with 2.6 kg of heroin. Following interrogation, the second accused, Tarsem Singh alias Karan, was also arrested, who was found in possession of 1.5 kg of heroin and four pistols.

A police investigation revealed that Tarsem Singh is a close associate of gangster Gurpreet Singh alias Krishan Jandiala, who currently lives abroad. Accused Tarsem Singh faces 16 criminal cases, including the NDPS Act, the Prisons Act, the Arms Act, and attempted murder.

Police reported that gangster Gurpreet Singh alias Krishan Jandiala lured Tarsem to work for him by promising to send him abroad with a fake passport.
