In Sangrur, Son-in-law Shot his father-in-law and brother-in-law, both died

Recently, heart-breaking news has come to light from Sangrur district of Punjab. It is being told that a son-in-law, in a fit of rage, shot his father-in-law and brother-in-law, due to which both died.

According to the information, the father-in-law had come to resolve a fight that was going on at his daughter’s house, but while trying to resolve the matter, the fight escalated so much that the son-in-law, in a fit of rage, took out his pistol and shot his father-in-law and brother-in-law.

The deceased have been identified as father-in-law Lakhbir Singh and brother-in-law Jagsir Singh. Police said that Lakhbir Singh, a resident of Bassi Rasoli village in Patiala district, married his daughter, Veerpal Kaur, to Gurvinder Singh, a resident of Shadihari village. Since the marriage, the daughter and son-in-law had been fighting over trivial matters.

On April 29th, when the fight between Gurvinder Singh and his wife, Veerpal Kaur, escalated, he called his father and brother for help.

Lakhbir Singh, along with his son, Jagsir Singh, arrived at his daughter’s home to mediate the dispute. During the altercation, the accused Gurvinder Singh got angry and opened fire on his father-in-law and brother-in-law with his licensed revolver kept in the house.

After being shot, the father-in-law and brother-in-law fell on the ground, injured. Hearing the sound of the gunshot, people from the nearby area gathered and immediately took them to the nearby government hospital. Due to excessive bleeding, the doctors declared them dead.

The police was informed about the incident. The police reached the spot and sealed the crime scene. A forensic team was called to collect evidence and the CCTV cameras installed nearby are being examined. DSP Dr. R.K. Bajwa said that the incident took place at 9:30 pm on Wednesday night, information about which was received by the police at 1 am.
