Body Identified in Patiala Blast, Suspect had Parked Bike in Amritsar

Recently, news of a blast on the Patiala Railway track has surfaced. It is being reported that the police have identified the suspected body in the railway track blast case near Shambhu in Patiala. The suspected body has been identified as Jagroop Singh, a resident of Panjwar (Tarn Taran).

Special DGP (Railways) Shashi Prabha Dwivedi stated that Jagroop Singh was attempting to detonate the explosives and made a mistake, resulting in his death. Shashi Prabha Dwivedi further stated that they have found a dead body, which has been identified. His phone and SIM were also found with the body.

Upon searching the body, a ticket was found, which revealed that he had come from Sirhind.

Shashi Prabha said that after the body was identified, the team checked CCTV footage in various areas. A CCTV footage in Amritsar showed a suspect parking his motorcycle. Police have seized his motorcycle in Amritsar.

Shashi Prabha Dwivedi said that the explosion was detected when a loco pilot was driving a freight train when a loud explosion occurred beneath the train. The loco pilot then reported that something had gone wrong and the train was moved forward.

The loco pilot reported the incident at 8:30 p.m. The explosion did not damage the freight train, but the loco pilot was jolted. The loco pilot reported the incident via text message, prompting senior district police officers and GRIPA officials to arrive at the scene.
