Big Drug Bust in Amritsar: 2 Arrested with 4.13 Kg Heroin!

Recently, two accused were arrested in Amritsar with 4.13 kg of Heroin. Amritsar Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that the two arrested accused were in contact with drug smugglers based in Europe and some activists in jail. This gang used to import drug consignments from Pakistan through drones and spread them in different areas of Punjab. This police action has busted this drug smuggling network.

Under the campaign being run against drugs by the Punjab government, Amritsar Commissionerate Police is getting one big success after another. Police arrested two accused, from whom 4.13 kg of Heroin was recovered. Police say that both the accused used to import drug consignments from Pakistan through drones and supply them in Majha and Doaba areas.

Giving information in this case, Amritsar Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that the two accused who have been arrested have been identified as Atish Suman and Sukhwinder alias Sundari. 22-year-old Atish Suman is a resident of a village near Phagwara and has done diploma in diesel mechanics and used to work as a mechanic in Mahindra company. According to police, these accused had direct contact with drug smugglers based in Europe. Several criminal cases have been registered against him earlier and he was very active in drug smuggling for some time.

The second accused, Sukhwinder alias Sundari, is 28 years old and a resident of Bopar Rai Kala village in the rural area of ​​Amritsar. He had only completed 10th grade and worked as a driver. Police said he also had several criminal cases registered against him and was also involved in a drug trafficking gang.
