Recently, Khanna Police has arrested Saudagar Singh, father of Shaganpreet Singh, ex-manager of Late Punjabi Singer Sidhu Moosewala, on charges of extortion. Saudagar Singh is accused of demanding a ransom of Rs 1 crore. He is accused of demanding a ransom of Rs 1 crore from a businessman of Payal area. The businessman was threatened by gangster Varinder Singh alias Doni Bal.
Giving information on this matter, DSP Mohit Kumar Singla said that Doni Bal had demanded extortion from a businessman of Payal area of Khanna. Police investigation revealed that along with Doni Bal, Shaganpreet Singh of Fatehgarh Sahib and his father Saudagar Singh are also involved in this conspiracy.
Police said that Shaganpreet is currently living in Australia, but her father has been arrested in this case.

Earlier, Shaganpreet’s mother, Daljeet Kaur, had complained to the Chandigarh DSP that the police had illegally detained her husband, Saudagar Singh. But now, the Kanna Police have informed about the ransom case.
Daljeet Kaur says that her husband’s life is in danger. He should be safely released from police custody and strict action should be taken against the police officers involved.
