Recently, the body of a man missing for five months was found in Jalandhar. After the murder, the killer buried the body in his home. A police investigation revealed the entire incident and arrested the accused. The accused has been identified as Gurdev Singh, a resident of Gandra village.
Amanpreet Singh filed a complaint with the police on April 1, stating that her uncle, 45-year-old Ajmer Singh (resident of Akalpur Malsian), had not returned home since November. Amanpreet told the police that her uncle had been working for Gurdev Singh for the past 20 years. On April 1, 2026, on the basis of suspicion, a case was registered against Gurudev Singh under various sections at Sadar Nakodar police station.

During police interrogation, accused Gurudev told that on November 13, 2025, he murdered Amanpreet Singh, cut her body into pieces and dug a pit of about 5-6 feet near his bathroom. After this, he buried the body in a sack.
On April 2, the police dug at the place indicated by the accused, after which the buried body of the deceased Amanpreet was recovered.
