Snowstorm Horror at Zojila Pass! 7 Dead, Vehicles Buried Under Snow

Recently, on March 27th, a massive avalanche caused devastation at the Zojila Pass, which connects Ladakh with Jammu and Kashmir. This incident occurred during the afternoon. Seven people have died so far, and five others are seriously injured. It is believed that cars are buried under the thick layer of snow, so the injured people may also be trapped under this layer. This incident occurred when the area was experiencing heavy snowfall and the weather was very poor.

A person who witnessed the incident reported that the avalanche was so severe that it suddenly engulfed several passenger and cargo vehicles within moments. Upon receiving information about the incident, the administration launched relief and rescue operations to safely evacuate those trapped in the snow.

Indian Army personnel, local police forces, and administrative teams are engaged in rescuing those trapped under the snow. An NDRF team has also reached the scene and is engaged in the rescue operation. The high altitude of Zojila Pass, the extreme cold, and the inclement weather, coupled with continuous snowfall, pose a significant challenge.
