Recently, news emerged from Barnala, where the discovery of a dead body of a boy caused a stir. The family members who arrived at the scene identified the body. After a police investigation, the body was sent for postmortem. The investigation indicated murder and dismemberment, but the reason for the murder has not been revealed. The police investigation is ongoing.
On the morning of Friday, April 10, a dead body was found in the bushes in Shehna village. Villagers passing by saw the body and informed the police. The dead body was identified as Gurvinder of Shehna village. It is being said that the young man had been missing for four days. The family was shocked to see the young man’s dead body. They never imagined that his body would be found so soon after his disappearance.
Gurvinder Singh’s family (mother, sister, and brother) reported that Gurvinder had suddenly disappeared on April 4th. The family and villagers searched for him extensively but could not find any trace of him. Five days later, his body was found in the bushes in Barnala.

Village head Najam Singh, Panchayat members Gurpreet Singh Pita, Gagandeep Singh, and Gurmukh Singh, along with a large number of villagers, were present at the scene and demanded justice for the family.
The family stated that a boy had come to call Gurvinder home and had taken him away, after which he never returned. The family has demanded a thorough investigation of the case and strict action against the accused from Ranala SSP Mohammad Sarfaraz Alam and Deputy Commissioner Harpreet Singh.
