Union Minister Hardeep Puri has assured the country of essential supplies and energy security amid global uncertainties. He stated that under PM Modi’s leadership, the government can address any problem or challenge.
Hardeep Puri shared a post on social media regarding the government’s measures and rumors of a lockdown, promising to ensure the supply of petrol, gas, and other essential commodities and instilling confidence. While the global situation remains uncertain, we are closely monitoring the situation related to energy, supply chains, and essential commodities.
The government maintains that the supply of essential commodities continues uninterrupted. Hardeep Puri said that India has faced global uncertainties before and demonstrated its courage. Hardeep stated that the rumors being spread about a lockdown are simply false rumors, which no one should pay attention to.
“I want to make it clear that no such proposal is under consideration at the government level.” He further stated that during these times, it is important for all of us to remain calm, responsible, and united. Spreading rumors and creating unnecessary fear is irresponsible and harmful.
Hardeep Puri said that the Modi government had two options: either increase prices significantly for citizens, as all other countries have done, or the government should bear the burden of its own finances to protect the common man from the fluctuations of the international market.”
