Recently, a 7-year-old girl died in a road accident in Jalandhar. The 7-year-old girl was playing in the street outside her home when a careless driver ran over her with his car. She died on the spot due to serious injuries. The driver’s negligence is being said to be the main cause of the accident. The police have arrested the driver and further investigation is underway.
The incident took place on April 7 in Guru Nanak Pura West of Jalandhar. The driver is a resident of Moga district and at that time he was going to meet one of his relatives living in the same area. According to witnesses, the driver was turning his car into an alley when the accident occurred.
The deceased has been identified as Radhika, a 7-year-old girl. Radhika was playing in the alley outside her home as usual. While turning his car, he didn’t notice a child playing in the alley and turned without looking. Radhika was run over by the car’s tires and died.
Upon hearing the sound of the accident, residents rushed out of their homes and found Radhika lying in a pool of blood. Neighbors also gathered there immediately, but by then Radhika had already died. The family is in shock due to the sudden death of a 7-year-old girl.

After the accident, the driver fled from the spot instead of taking the girl to the hospital. The entire accident was recorded on the CCTV installed outside the house. Information about the incident was given to the police.
Investigating officer of Ram Mandi police station, ASI Satnam Singh, said that driver Jaswinder Singh had come to Gurunanak Pura in Jalandhar to collect his son’s exam papers, where he hit a girl and killed her and fled from there. Following the family’s complaint, the driver has been arrested and the car has also been seized.
