Recently, 6 new Aam Aadmi clinics will be opened in Pathankot to provide better treatment and healthcare facilities to the people at their homes. After opening of these clinics, there will be a total of 28 clinics in the district. All these clinics are being inaugurated today on 28th March after getting permission from Chandigarh. OPD service will also be provided in the new Aam Aadmi clinics along with 47 types of medical tests and anti-rabies vaccination.
After getting permission from Chandigarh, they are being inaugurated today. Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak will come to inaugurate them on 29th March. Each clinic will have a population of 10 to 15 thousand.
The recruitment process of doctors, pharmacists and class-4 employees for the 6 Aam Aadmi clinics being opened in the city has been completed. As soon as the clinics open, everyone will start getting services immediately. Apart from this, 25 Aam Aadmi clinics are already running in the district, where in the last three and a half years, more than 10 lakh patients have availed OPD services daily. And approximately 4.25 lakh lab tests have been made free.
These 6 new Aam Aadmi clinics have been built at a cost of Rs 1 crore 50 lakh.
“Let us tell you that the new Aam Aadmi clinics are ready at a cost of Rs 1 crore 50 lakhs. These include the old excise building in Sally Coolie at a cost of Rs 20 lakh 90 thousand 844, the Aam Aadmi clinic on Kali Mata Mandir Road at a cost of Rs 20 lakh 68 thousand 641, the Aam Aadmi clinic in Kacha Quarter at a cost of Rs 19 lakh 77 thousand, the Ayushman Arogya Kendra in Daulatpur at a cost of Rs 20 lakh 91 thousand, the Ayushman Arogya Kendra in Lamini and Abrol Nagar at a cost of Rs 23 lakh 14 thousand.”
“Work on 6 of these clinics has been completed, and the construction of a new building at the Gravel Company at a cost of Rs. 20,63,520 is expected to be completed by early April, after which health facilities will be available there from April 15.”
