Barnala Tragedy! House Collapse Kills 3 Workers, Shocking Allegations Surface

Recently, on Sunday, three labourers tragically died when an under-construction house collapsed in Barnala’s Farwahi village. The labourers were sleeping inside the house at the time of the accident. Upon receiving information about the incident, a police team reached the spot and started a rescue operation using JCB machines. The three people were pulled out of the debris and admitted to the hospital, where doctors declared them dead.

According to information, this accident occurred when, after the foundation of the house collapsed, work was underway to raise the house using a jack. The labourers who died were engaged in this work. A total of four laborers were working, but on Saturday night, the fourth laborer went to his home, saving his life.

The village Sarpanch stated that initially, there were rumors that four laborers were buried under the debris, but later it was discovered that the fourth laborer had reached his home at 10 pm on Sunday. The Sarpanch blamed the police, saying that officers had arrived at the scene, but the villagers provided more assistance in removing the debris. The Sarpanch has demanded that the government provide adequate compensation to the families of the deceased and that the owner of the damaged house also receive compensation from the Chief Minister’s Fund.

Barnala DSP Satvir Singh said that Vishal, a resident of Farwahi village, was having his house renovated by a contractor named Ranjit from Moga. Sewage water infiltrated the house, causing the walls to sag. The deceased workers have been identified as Bobby Singh, Prince, and Gurjeet Singh, all residents of Moga.

MLA Kuldeep Singh Kala Dhillon, who arrived at the scene, expressed his condolences to the family and said he would speak with administrative officials to seek compensation for the victims and write to the government in this regard.
